Connie J (DeRigo) Carle – 81, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a 25 year battle with colon cancer. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Jack Carle; daughter Kathleen Neiss; her mom and dad, Marian and Joe DeRigo; her brothers and sister in law, Tom, Alice, Don, Jack and Gary; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Catherine and John Carle; her sisters-in-law, Marge Kwitniewski, Kathleen Yavorski and June Carle; son-in-law, Mark Dribnak; and daughter-in-law, Karen Mason Carle. She is survived by her loving family of five children: Jodi Dribnak, John (Donna) Carle; Tom (Jo-Ann) Carle; Jim (Robin) Carle; Tari (Mark) Cluck; and son-in-law, Doug Neiss.

She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren: Siobhan Roma, Tom (Haley) Carle, Allyson (Elliot) Harper; Garrett (Hannah) Neiss, Chelsea (Ben) Hall, Jaye (Shane) McNeill, Micah Neiss; John D. (JC) IV, Josh, and Katie Carle; Amanda (Arthur) Hrostowski; Morgan, Emily, and Hannah Cluck; and Mary Dribnak. She is survived by ten great grandchildren: Liam and Michael Roma; TJ Carle; Lilah Wurth and Silas Hall; Charlotte Harper; Avery McNeill; Solomon, Luna, and Evie Radcliffe. In her younger years, she was an avid classic bowler and made the Binghamton Press All-Stars for many years.

She also enjoyed bowling with some of the men’s professional bowlers such as Mark Roth, Johnny Patraglia, Gus Lampo, and Mike Orlovsky. She was employed by many attorneys in the area as a bookkeeper/accountant. She enjoyed going with her husband to Atlantic City, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Las Vegas.

She was a member of the ARC where she enjoyed playing pitch and trivia. Connie was known to all as a very supportive mother, grandmother and great grandmother, attending countless scholastic and extracurricular activities for all of them over the years and instilling faith in God in her children from a very young age. Connie’s true legacy is the strength of her love for others, particularly the three generations closest to her.

As those generations converged from across the country to wish her farewell, she never stopped expressing her love for them, with all her strength, throughout the final days of her journey. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Vincent DePaul/Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10am. The family will receive friends at J.F. Rice Funeral Home, 150 Main Street, Johnson City, NY on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 4pm-7pm.
