Cornelia Melissa Burt Mitchell, 81, of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019. She was born in DeKalb County, Alabama on February 17, 1937 to the late William Henry and Jewell Hartline Burt. She was a retired medical administrator with Cobb Hospital and attended Davis Chapel Church.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Gravel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. She is survived by her brother, Wallace Burt; and nephews Bob, Bill, and Jimmy Burt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev.
