Obituary for Dale Vincent Summy Dale Vincent Summy, 74, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away with his family at his side, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1944 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Violet (Doran) Summy Boeser. He and Linda Sue Summy were married November 22, 1986 at Webster Groves.

He served in the Marine Corps from 1964-1967 and from 1967-1984 he served in the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. Dale was an accountant at the Marcus Wherenberg Theatre’s corporate office in St. Louis and also worked as an accountant for SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence (SADI) in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of the Ss.

Peter and Paul Parish in Collinsville, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Summy of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one daughter, Amy Lynn (Billy) Thatcher of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one sister, Deena Marie (Everett) Allison of Caseyville, Illinois; one brother, Dennis Stanley (Patty) Summy of Collinsville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Tristan Lane Thatcher, Drew Alan Thatcher, Ty Austin Thatcher; brother-in-law, Craig (June) Gillespey of Richardson, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Sally Herzberger of Collinsville, Illinois; Bonny Cain of Collinsville, Illinois; Paula (Ed) Clark of Maryville, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews; his favorite pets, Teddy “B” and Daisy. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Leon Patrick Boeser.
