Obituary for Henry Lee Denton Henry Lee Denton, 85, of Thebes, Illinois died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Metropolis Nursing & Rehab Center. He was born December 25, 1932 in Marston, Missouri to Noble Earl and Mayme Black Denton. He and Gloria Deane Caldwell were married November 23, 1950 at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Henry was a graduate of Cape Central High School. He was a manager in the industrial radiator manufacturing field. He was a member of Thebes Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 283 in Folsomdale, Kentucky.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Deane Denton of Metropolis; one son, David Denton of Thebes, Illinois; two daughters, Linda (Charles) Smith of Hickory, Kentucky and Vicki Lee Denton of California; three grandsons, Brad, Matt and Anthony; nine great-grandchildren, Bradley, Kirsten, Emily, Riley Sue, Laken, Blake, Tanner, Lizzie and Lainey; one great-great-grandchild, Keryington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, William, Alan and Noble Earl, Jr. Denton; one sister, Katherine Bandy; and daughter-in-law, Mary C. Denton. Friends may call 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Ford & Sons Mt.

Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with a Masonic Service at 12:30 pm. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, November 23, 2018 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Rev.

Raymond McAfee officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Memorial contributions may be given to Masonic Home of Louisville.
