Daniel “Danny” L. Pittson, age 74 of North Lawrence passed away on October 06, 2018. He was born in Massillon on August 29, 1944 to the late Lewis and Constance Pittson. He was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School.

Daniel served his country in the U.S. Navy on active and reserve duty from 1962 to 1974. He worked for Dyneer Corp for 10 years and retired after 25 years with Millwright and Pile Drivers Union Local 1871 of Cleveland, OH. He was a life member for the VFW and the American Legion Post 44 of Canton, Disabled Veterans of America and the Wilderness Center.

He is survived by his special friend Norvella Leatherman and her sons Jerry(Natalie) and Todd and Norvella’s daughter Yvonne (Phil); his sons Daniel (Tanya) Pittson and Donny (Kathy) Pittson; his grandchildren Danielle (Steve) Jackson, Jessica(Brandon), Andrew (Karen), Danielle,Emily, Ethan, Jerry, and Zacharie. Danny was preceded in death by parents; sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Harold Smith; his brother Robert Pittson; Uncles Robert, William, Rodney and Daniel Crawford and his wife Margaret. Aunts Elsie (Lewis) Malloy, Beatrice (Clarence) Malloy, Doris and Robert Layporte and their son Thomas.

A Graveside service with military honors will be held at Canal Lewisville Cemetery, 458 Brenaird Street, Coshocton OH, on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1p.m. Donations in Danny’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
