Obituary for Daniel DiDomizio Daniel R. DiDomizio, 91, of Wappingers Falls, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Born in Stoneco in Poughkeepsie on November 22, 1926, he was the son of John and Nancy (DiMarco) DiDomizio.

He was very devoted to his family and was a loving brother to his siblings, all of which predeceased him: Anthony DiDomizio, Mary (DiDomizio) Raffaeleand Nuzzio Raffaele, Dorothy (DiDomizio) Hochlowski, and Ann (DiDomizio) Alfonso. He is survived by his sister-in-law Florence DiDomizio and brother-in-law Henry Hochlowski. In addition, he is survived by nieces and nephews, who will each hold dearly the stories of “Unc”.

Ron and Donna Raffaele, Barry Hochlowski, Debbie(Raffaele) and Bob Ledrich, Warren and Kathy Hochlowski, Lynne (Alfonso) and Ron Hobler, Michael and Doreen Hochlowski, Donna (Raffaele) and Don Hoffay, David and Brenda Alfonso, Sandra (DiDomizio) and Ed Murphy, and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by by his loving niece and nephew, Nancy (DiDomizio) Sedoreand Robert DiDomizio. He was a second parent to all of us and had a special nickname for each of us.

He will never be forgotten. Dan worked for IBM for many years and enjoyed all the friendships he fostered there. He loved recalling stories of his youth.

A talented gardener, he took much pride in his yard and yoy would find him for hours on end working with plants in the summer. Above all, family was always first and foremost in his heart. We would like to thank the staff at the Pines at Poughkeepsie, who compassionately cared for Dan for the past 4 years.

Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday at 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church 11 Clinton St. Wappingers Falls. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
