Daniel Richard Vasquez went peacefully to the arms of our Lord, early the morning of July 4th, 2018, in Salinas, California. He was born November 3rd, 1953, to Marcos (Marc) and Griselda (Grace) who proceeded him in death along with brother, Christopher. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Mary Lou, and brothers, Marc and Thomas.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who doted on their “Unka Daniel”. Dan had a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University at Berkeley and will be remembered for his love of designing gardens and growing things. He will also be remembered for his love of camping in Yosemite; he could always be found leading one of the nephews or nieces along the many Yosemite hiking trails or getting lost gathering wood for the camp site’s evening fire.

He will also be remembered for his great love of music. At Dan’s request, there will be no service but the family will hold a private memorial get together at a later time. The family is requesting no flowers and is suggesting a donation to your favorite charity in Danny’s name or to Natividad Hospital by calling 831-755-4187 or natividadfoundation.org.
