Theodore Lyons – age 84 of Salinas, Ca for 55 years. He was born February 27, 1934 in Honolulu, Hawaii. October 20, 2018, he passed with his family by his side in Palo Alto, CA.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Lyons of 40 years, children: Chaz Lyons (Janice), Kapiolani Lyons Newcombe (Don), Diana Lyons, Julie Garcia (Robert) Cynthia Chavarria Agamao (Joaquin), Patrick Chavarria (Kristina), Joseph Medeiros, Sarah Medeiros, Muriel Medeiros. “Teddy” was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather of 19, great grandfather of 9. And Brother, Danny Lyons He was preceded in death by: parents: Joseph L. Lyons & Muriel Wise Lyons.

Brothers: Joseph Lyons & Stanley Lyons. Sisters: Sweetheart Lyons Huffman & Ruthie Lyons Kanae all of Hawaii. Retired U.S. Army PSG E7, after 27 years of service.

He served in the Korean War (1950-1953), two tours Vietnam & received Bronze Star Medal. Retired 10 years dispatcher/bus driver -Gonzales Union High School. Organizations: VFW Commander Post 811 Marina, CA 2 years, VFW Member Post 811 life member, American Legion Post 31 Salinas, CA.

Member of Veterans of Hawaii, Monterey, CA. Old soldiers of Hawaii. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA.

93901. Graveside Services will be held 2:00p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery, 2900 Parker Flats Road, Seaside, CA. 93955 with Full Military Honors.

Donations can be made directly to the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital.
