Rachel Hernandez Maldonado, 72 of Salinas passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was born February 8, 1946 in Mexico. She lived in Salinas for 61 yrs.

Was a homemaker loved spending time with her animals, tending to her plants watching her ducks run around eating the grass. And she would make jewelry, loved her family very much and would give good advice. Went to Graceland, traveled a lot with the family in her younger days had a great life will be missed but forever in our hearts and remember the great memories we shared.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Maria Rodriguez, Esquiel Hernandez, sister Abby Calderon, Raul Calderon, nephew ,Freddie Calderon, Brother in law, John Robles. She is survived by her husband, Robert Maldonado, daughter, Elaine Maldonado, son, Steven Maldonado, brother, Oscar Rodriguez, sister, Chuey Robles, nieces, Leticia Vega, Abby Calderon Bowman, nephew, Issac Rodriguez and many more nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held 1:00p.

m to 9:00p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901. A Rosary will be held at 7:00p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA.

93901. Funeral Mass will be 10:00a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Madonna Del Sasso Church, 320 E. Laurel Drive, Salinas, CA. 93906.
