Rosalee A. Johnson(Atkins), 79, was born August 21, 1939 in Sioux Falls, SD. She passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Salinas after a brief illness. She came to Salinas at the young age of 5 and graduated from Palma High School in 1957.

Rosalee recently retired from The Uni-Kool Company after 34 years. She enjoyed bowling, Bunco, water aerobics, and spending quality time with family and friends. Rosalee is survived by her daughters, Denise Johnson and Debbie Johnson, son, Ed Johnson(June), sisters, Barbara Stubbs, Kathy Atkins-Page; Dorothy Matiasevich (Jim), and Janet Atkins.

She is survived by grandchildren, Melissa, Edward, Everett, Crystal, Seth, great-grandchildren, Brianna, Isabella, Damien, Liam, and Evelyn. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rosalee is preceded in death by her sons, Walter Johnson and Donald Johnson, grandson, Walter Frank Johnson III, parents, Leo and Rose Atkins, and her sister, Maribeth Derichsweiler (Bob).

Rosary and Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Blessed Edmund Rice Chapel, Palma High School, 919 Iverson Street, Salinas, CA. 93901. at 11:00 a.m. Burial immediately following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA.
