Obituary of Daniel Zimmer Daniel R. Zimmer, age 80, of Summit Twp. , passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie on February 9, 1938, son of the late David and Minnie Zimmer.

Dan was a molder at Arrow Castings since 1964. He continued working there for the past 54 years and enjoyed the friendships he made there. Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a fan of NASCAR and football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor “Ellie” Zimmer; two sisters, Mary Zimmer and Patricia Piotrowski (John); sister-in-law, Julia Zimmer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one brother, David Zimmer Jr. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, on Monday from 4 to 7 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Tuesday at 1 pm conducted by Rev.

Chris Weichman of the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Two Chatham Center, Suite 1520, 112 Washington Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
