Obituary for Danny “Zeke” Little Danny “Zeke” Little, age 68, of Hampton, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018, in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a son of the late Carl and Maxine McKeehan Little and was born in Carter County. Mr. Little was a 1967 graduate of Elizabethton High School and a graduate of East Tennessee State University.

He was a lifelong member of Valley Forge United Methodist and was a teacher who spent most of his career teaching at Little Milligan Elementary School where he taught for thirty-seven years. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-six years, Deborah Calhoun Little, of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Hicks and her husband, Brian, of Hampton; a son, Alan Little and his wife, Tracy, of Elizabethton; two grandsons, Bryson Hicks and Brody Hicks, both of Hampton; a sister, Judy Little, of Elizabethton; two aunts, Charlsie and Phyllis Little; three uncles, Ronnie Little and his wife, Marie; Glen Little and his wife, Dorothy; Kenneth Little; a brother-in-law, Jerry Calhoun and his wife, Teresa; cousins, Kaley, Kendall, Katie Rose, Mackenzie, Sheila, Jan, John, Mark, Jeff & Mike Clement; Tracey Little, Ronnie and Lynn Little, Mike, Randy and Steven Little, Jessica and Sarah, and a special cousin, Wilma McKeehan. A graveside for Mr. Little will be conducted on Monday, April 30, 2018, at 4:30 PM in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev.

Sam Ferguson and Rev. Charles Cable officiating. Active pallbearers will be Mike Nidiffer, Jerry Calhoun, Harold Morrell, Ray Don Markland, Terry Banner, Ronnie Little, Jr., Jose Velasquez and Brian Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers will be past and present staff and students of Little Milligan Elementary School, the church family of Valley Forge United Methodist Church, Ray Arnett, Leon Tolley, Timber Shaw, Dakota Crumley, Rev. Richard Stout, J.R. Campbell and Richard and Matthew Myers. The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Monday prior to the service.

Those wishing to attend the graveside service may meet the family at Tetrick Funeral Home at 4:00 PM on Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to The Kings Table at Valley Forge United Methodist Church, Hwy 19E, Elizabethton, TN 37643, Carter County Special Education Department, 405 Academy Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643, or in support of Autism to the E.T.S.U. Nave Language Center, Attn: Teresa Boggs, 1000 Jason Witten Way, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
