Obituary for Daphin Mae Bowman Daphin Mae Bowman, 71, of Hallam died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at York Hospital. Born November 8, 1946 in Wrightsville, she was the daughter of the late Heber and Mildred (Poff) Gingerich. She was an executive secretary for Bethlehem Steel.

Daphin was an avid Bob Dylan Fan. She was active with the local community theatre including Theatre Harrisburg, Oyster Mill Playhouse, and the Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg. She was featured in many local film productions.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Marie and her spouse, Christina of Clermont, FL and 2 grandchildren, Chloe Kataev and her spouse, Nikita and Xander Pavich. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Following cremation, a memorial service will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairmount United Methodist Church, 5835 Furnace Road, York, PA 17406 with Pastor Eddie Hutcheson officiating.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403. Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York, PA 17403.
