Darius Jovan Sanders June 15, 1985 – February 10, 2019 Darius Jovan Sanders was born to Charles and Vernice Sanders June 15, 1985 at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA. “D.J.” as everyone knew him was the eighth child in a family of eight kids. He was everybody’s baby.

In 2003, DJ graduated from Dougherty High School. DJ loved CARS. Recently, he said that “That’s my passion”.

DJ also had a love for music and loved to play the guitar. DJ’s mom found out she was pregnant, and at the same time, her friend, Lugene Davis, was pregnant too. Jean gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who she named Jessica Laurn Henderson.

Two weeks later, DJ was born. So we can not say, when they met, since they’ve always known each other. On February 22, 2008, DJ and Jessica were married.

They have two very handsome and intelligent boys. DJ and Jessica were both raised serving Jehovah and has instilled the truth in their boys. D.J. leaves to mourn his death, the love of his life, his beautiful wife, Jessica, two sons Kendrick, 13, and Kaden, 10, his parents, Charles and Vernice Sanders of Albany, GA, three brothers, Charles Jr., Anthony (Stefanie), Michael (Melinda) of Albany, two sisters, Paulette Curtis of St. Louis, MO and Cherie (Leonard) Morgan of Goodyear, AZ and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

D.J. had a special affection for his nephew, Devante Curtis, who shared his love for cars. DJ is preceded in death by two sisters, Towanna Evans and Tasha Hairston. DJ was employed by Palmer-Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Alpharetta, GA.
