Dennis E. Faris, 79, passed away on March 7, 2019. He was a wonderful Christian husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was born on December 16, 1939 in Wellington, KS to Fred and Mary Faris who preceded him in death.

He spent most of his life in Kansas where he worked as a finance manager for the Boeing Company for 36 ½ years. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Wichita State University. After his retirement he moved to Siloam Springs, AR where he enjoyed his retirement playing a lot of golf for 10 years before moving to Gardendale, AL.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mareta; two sons, Scott of Mulvane, KS and Darrin (Nancy) of Gardendale, AL; brother, James Faris (Sharon) of Lake Stevens, Washington; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
