Obituary for Mr. Derek R. Gadway Derek R. Gadway, 37, of North Lawrence, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at Potsdam-Canton Hospital, Potsdam. Born on December 29, 1980 in Plattsburgh, NY, he was the son of Robert Gadway and Kim Cheyne Adams. Derek enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and shooting pool.

He is survived by his two children, Jeremiah and Jadelynn Gadway; a brother Kris Gadway; his grandmother, Beverly Cheyne; longtime friend and caregiver, James Parmeter; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Kim Cheyne Adams and Grandfather Donald Cheyne. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Saturday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to noon.

A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay. Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home.
