DeSoto~Shelley’s Obituary Mr. Shelley Rapier,Sr. passed on Saturday, January 5, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Winchester, Kentucky on November 29, 1945 to his late parents John and Alice Rapier.

Shelley is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 20 years, Theresa; sons: John (Jessica) Rapier, and Carl Rapier; daughters: Bonnie (John) Allen,step-daughters: Angel Walker, Donna Ruby; brother: Carl Rapier; 8 grandchildren; 9 nieces; 6 nephews; and 20 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Shelley Lynn Rapier, Jr.; his parents: John and Alice Rapier; his sisters: Phyllis Shearer and Eunice Jones; and his brother: Emin Rapier, Sr. Shelley loved his model trains, going fishing, and tinkering with things, but his greatest love was spending time with family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 with family receiving friends at 12:00 and funeral service at 1:00 PM at Gardner Baptist Church.
