Dixie Lee Mikkelsen Hodgin Dixie Lee Mikkelsen Hodgin, 78, of Roy, UT passed away July 27, 2018. She is the beloved daughter of Leland Mikkelsen, Afton Watson Smith and step-dad, Asell C. Smith, sister of Jeanie (Richard) Taylor and Michael (Janice) Mikkelsen and mother of Mark (Wendi) Holland, Sheri (Michael) Gregory, Todd (Cindy) Holland and Troy (Lynsi, Eva) Holland, she is survived by her sister and brother and her four children as well as her 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, two grandchildren, Kaylynn, Lindsey and a great-grandson, Trapper.

Dixie was a fun loving and quick witted person that readily made friends wherever she went. She loved her family dearly and checked up on everyone regularly. She loved her country and was very patriotic.

She treasured her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a long term calling of Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. She was an avid supporter of her family and friends and all the things that she believed in. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Smithfield 24th Ward Chapel, 451 South 250 East. The family will meet with friends Thursday, August 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church in Smithfield. Interment, Smithfield Cemetery.
