Obituary for Don C. DeWitt Don C. DeWitt, 80, died Sunday July 1, 2018 at his home in Kearney. No services are planned in Kearney. Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Veterans Home in Kearney.

Don was born March 19, 1938 in Auburn, CA to William and Virginia (Cassazza) DeWitt. He graduated from Ridgecrest High School in Ridgecrest, CA then graduated from the University of Maryland and then attended American College. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956- 1961 and was stationed in France and North Africa.

On April 21, 1974 he married Barbara Brezina in Ridgecrest. They lived in Ridgecrest then moved to Seattle, WA where he worked as an engineer at Boeing. After retiring from Boeing they moved to Los Angeles, CA and he worked as an International Courier.

He and his wife moved to Kearney in 2015 to be near his wife’s mother. He is a past president of the Exchange Club in Ridgecrest and was a lifetime donor to the Red Cross. Surviving relatives include his wife Barbara of Kearney; daughters, Lisa Lamb of Grand Island, NE and Scarlett Gonsalez and husband Brian of Las Vegas; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; mother-in-law, Irene Brezina of Kearney; cousins, Marilyn Lammers and husband Bob and Linda Summers and husband Rick, both of Kearney.
