DONALD D. SMITH, 82, of South Vienna, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday afternoon, October 20, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 12, 1936, the son of the late Clyde and Mary Jane (Hill) Smith. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy.

Don retired from Northeastern High School as principal and he served as wrestling coach for many years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betsy J. (Mark) Truss, Montana Smith and Aaron (Holly) Huffman; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth (Judy) Smith and Dick (Linda) Smith; and special friend, Debbie Huffman. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittney.

A private family service will be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeastern High School Boosters, 1480 Bowman Rd. , Springfield, OH 45502.
