Obituary for Donald Haulsee Donald Jack “Pete” Haulsee, 82, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away with family at his side on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was born on January 30, 1936 in Marion, Virginia and was preceded in death by his parents, BV and Margaret Haulsee and brothers, Dave and Mike Haulsee. Pete graduated from Lynn View High School in 1954 and ETSU in 1958.

He worked for the ETSU Accounting Department until his retirement. Pete loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was always quick with a joke and loved to make people smile.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Monroe Haulsee, with whom they just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 30, 2018. He is also survived by his three children: daughter Becky Bradley, sons Mike (Marcia) Haulsee and Scott (Kristi) Haulsee; two grandchildren: Erika and JC Bradley; his two sisters: Billie Sue Monroe and Cecelia “Cissy” (Crockett) Taylor, and two brothers-in-law: Godfrey (Phyllis) Monroe and Earl (Ann) Monroe. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 7th from 5:00pm-7:00pm, service to follow at 7:00pm, at Tetrick Funeral Services in Johnson City.

Entombment services will be conducted Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00am at Washington County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harvest Time Baptist Church building fund – 2404 Roseberry Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. This obituary was lovingly written by Mr. Haulsee’s family.
