Pastor Donald Joseph Murray Jr., 67, of Macomb passed away at 9:20 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at his daughter’s residence after a short battle with cancer. He was born on September 14th, 1951, in Chicago to Donald Sr. and Mary Ann Aul Murray. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary Ann and J. B. Silcox of Williamsburg, Kentucky; his children, Joshua Murray of Good Hope, Illinois; Rachel Murray (Mark Parish) of Huntersville, North Carolina; Esther (Chris) Firof of Macomb, Illinois; Caleb Murray of Naperville, Illinois; and David Murray (Mariana Nababan) of Jakarta, Indonesia; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Jimmy Silcox and Denny Murray.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Murray Sr. and one sister, Linda Wasik. Donald received his Masters degree in Education from Western Illinois University. He spent the last 25 years teaching and preaching at various schools in South Korea.

He attended of the Calvary Baptist Church in Macomb. He also enjoyed reading, playing guitar and sharing his faith. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb. A public reception will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Macomb. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
