Michael Lee Selmon, 73, of Macomb passed away at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 5, 1945 in Paris, Texas to Bennie Foster, Sr. and Arie Lee Dolleff Selmon. He married Donna Kay Jackson on March 1, 1981 in Dallas, Texas.

She survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Jennifer Ratcliff of Aledo, Texas, Jessica (Selmon) LeBoeuf of Gray, Louisiana, Krystal Garcia of Industry, Illinois and Felicia Selmon of Macomb; one son, Christopher Parker of New Braunfels, Texas; eight grandchildren and one brother, Jerry Selmon of League City, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Faye Price and Francis Smith and brothers, Bennie Selmon, Jr., Bill Selmon and Bobby Selmon.

Michael lived in McDonough County since 2004. He was a graduate of Wilmer Hutchins High School and Southern Methodist University. He was self-employed working in the electronic/computer field.

He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National Rifleman’s Association. He enjoyed reading, sports, coin collecting and music.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 with Pastor Jon Keck officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb with full military honors being conducted by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW.

Memorials may be made to the Michael Lee Selmon memorial fund.
