Lavallee, 84, died Friday in Danbury Hospital surrounded by his loving daughters. He was born in Holyoke, MA to Eugene V. and Olive E. Lavallee. His wife Ann P. (Landers) Lavallee, married for 57 years, predeceased him in 2015.

He leaves two daughters Susan A. Chewens and her husband Steven of Pine Bush, NY and Michelle M. Marcisz and her husband William of Apopka, FL, seven grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Kelly, Zachary and his wife Colleen, Meaghan, Lara, Mallory, Steven and Timothy and two great grandchildren Grayson Donovan and Brady Alexander. He lived in Chicopee and South Hadley before moving to Connecticut in 1966. He worked as the Director of Reporting and Analysis for PepsiCo International, located in Somers, NY for 25 years.

He retired in 1995. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, a Korean War Veteran. Donald graduated from Holyoke Community College in 1954, American International College in 1958 and Westfield State College in 1961.

Don loved sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. The funeral home service will be Wednesday January 16th at 11 am at the Curran-O’Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley, MA followed by committal services with Military Honors at Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday prior to the service from 10 am to 11 am.
