Donna Mae Leavenworth, age 74, of Nebo, North Carolina, following a long health battle, departed to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Mission Hospital McDowell. The daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Earl Lien, she was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 2, 1944. Donna’s brother, Thomas Lien, also preceded her in death.

Having been raised in a small farming town in Michigan, Donna enjoyed traveling with her family; and loved to sew and attend yard sales. She will be remembered for her sense of humor. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Jay Leavenworth of the home; one daughter, Kellie Ann Franks of Howell, Michigan; one son, Terry Joe Franks of Phoenix, Arizona; and three grandchildren.
