Donna Marie Strothmann, 79, passed away at 8:14 a.m. Tuesday, May 28th at her home. Donna was born on December 15, 1939 in Rockwood. She was the daughter of John and Jessie Guthman.

She married Gerald Strothmann on October 7, 1961 in Rockwood. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Survivors include her husband Gerald Strothmann of 57 years; sons Gary Strothmann and wife Sue; Jim Strothmann and wife Jill; grandchildren Jessica Murray and husband David; Jamie Williams and husband Bryant; Annie and Jon Strothmann; great-grandchildren Alaina and Axel Murray; step grandchildren Alexandria and Dan Frey; and step-great grandchild Walter Nieds.

Donna also has two surviving sisters. Judy Lagow and husband Jim, and Barb Johnson and husband Randy; and two brothers, John Guthman and Ronald Guthman and wife Cathey. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bonnie Jones; and sister-in-law, Inge Guthman.

Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Saturday, June 1. Visitation will be from 10-1pm and the service will be at 1p.m.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church and School Building Fund, Relay for Life and Hospice of Southern Illinois.
