Frances Irene Bastien, 77, of Murphysboro, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Frances was born on January 21, 1942, in Murphysboro, to John Moglon and Mary Louis (Lane) Moglon. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Brown Shoe Factory and at an Murphysboro restaurant.

She enjoyed quilting and making crafts including painting ceramics. Frances married Gerald Bastien in November of 1966, in Murphysboro, and he survives. Other survivors include four children Tommy (Tammy) Bastien of Marion, Julie Bastien of Murphysboro, Ralph (Michelle) Bastien, Murfreesboro, TN, and Christine Lee, both of Murphysboro; fifteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Linda Cochran, one daughter in infancy Joyce Sue DeWitt, one great grandson and her parents. Her body will be cremated. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Berean Christian Church with Troy Humphrey officiating.
