Georgia Lou Weekley, 71, of DeSoto, IL, previously of Marissa, IL, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She was born on June 20, 1947, in Potosi, MO, to the late Lonnie Ray and Flora Lucille (Hart) Boyet. Georgia married Thomas T. Weekley on November 8, 1963, in Tilden, IL, at the Baptist Church; Tom preceded her in death on December 29, 2014.

Georgia was a co-owner of Tom Weekley Trucking. She was a member of the Coulterville VFW Post 6865, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro.

Pastor J.D. Boyet will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in Yount Community Cemetery in rural Perryville, MO.

Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the Yount Community Cemetery. Georgia is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Larry & Cheryl Bost; four grandchildren: Allan (Caitlyn) Bost, Julia Bost (Brandon Barker), Justin Englert (dear friend Hanna Slattery), Brandon Weekley (dear friend Brittany Schlimme); three great-grandchildren: Shelbi JoAnn Bost, Declan Ray Barker, and Gunner Ryan Weekley; Mary Bodeker (sister), Linda Foster (sister), Terry Niemeier (brother-in-law), Ruth Boyet (sister-in-law), Ruth Ann Boyet (sister-in-law), Alma Funk (sister-in-law), Larry and LaDona Weekley (brother-in-law & sister-in-law), nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Georgia is preceded in death by a son Darren, a granddaughter Chelsea Ann Marie Weekley, two sisters and five brothers.
