Joanna Mae Clutts, 81, of Pomona and formerly of Granite City, IL, passed away at 7:27 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Joanna was born May 31, 1936, in Mill Creek, IL, a daughter to the late Eddie Munro and Dora E. (Helton) Poole. She was united in marriage to James Charles Clutts on September 17, 1955, in Granite City, IL.

James preceded her in death on February 18, 2018. Cremation had been accorded; entombment along with her husband James was in Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. , on Friday August 3, 2018.

Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be given to The Baptist children’s home 949 County Road 1300 N., Carmi, IL 62821. Joanna was a member of Grace Baptist church in Granite City, IL, but was ministered to in her final day by Pastor James Easton of Abundant Life fellowship in Murphysboro, IL. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Scot Mason of Pomona, and Jessica and David Hellige of Granite City, IL; two grandchildren, Joshua Mason and C.J. Hellige; one great-grandson, Brody Mason; two sisters, Anna Marie Gross and Dora Orasco; and one brother, Melvin Poole.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Munro Clutts on April 24, 2018, one sister, Lucille Hammon, and three brothers, George Lamb, Charles Lamb and James Lamb.
