Arthur Ray Trexler, 55, of Elkville, passed away at 7:10 A.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Arthur was born on June 15, 1963, in Jacksonville, Illinois, to Charles E. Trexler and Annalee (Turner) Trexler. He worked as an automobile mechanic.

He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and drawing. Arthur married Lisa DeWitt on December 15, 1992, in Anna, Illinois and she survives.

Other survivors include one daughter Joyce Trexler at home. He was preceded in death by one daughter Megan. four brothers and one sister Darrell Trexler of Vergennes, Lee Trexler of Anna, Richard Trexler of Thompsonville, Nancy Stewart of Gulf Port, MS, and Mark Semyck of Anna.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Joyce Rains and Linda Topia, two brothers Eddie Trexler and Jessie Trexler, and his parents. Memorial services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Elkville with Rev. Scott Slone officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am at the church. Memorials may be made to the family.
