Obituary for Doris K. Boyd Doris K. Boyd, age 71, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and of the Old Regular Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Starlin “Pete” Boyd; her parents, Garfield “Cap” Deel and Effie Jean Barton Deel; her daughter, Lisa Boyd; two brothers, infant James Deel and Roger Deel; two sisters, Ellen Owens and Fern Barton; Grandson, Travis Stanley; and son in law, Ervin Stanley Survivors Include: Three Daughters: Patricia Stanley and companion, David Perrigan of Haysi, Virginia, Marie Stanley and husband, Robert of Haysi, Virginia, and Connie Gilbert and husband, Jeff of Davenport, Virginia Companion: Caudle Stanley One Brother: Brady Deel of Haysi, Virginia Three Sisters: Ann Owens and husband, Monk of Haysi, Virginia; Vicky Colley and husband, Terry of Prater, Virginia, and Donna Fields of Clintwood, Virginia Six Grandsons: Jessie Stanley and wife, Rachel, Dustin Stanley, Cody Stanley and wife, Grace, Jeffrey Lee Gilbert and wife, Megan, Casey Gilbert and wife, Samantha, and Clifton Stanley Nine Great Grandchildren: Alissa, Hope, Remy, and Olivia Stanley, Mickey Mullins, Aiden Stanley, Chase and Isabella Gilbert, and Abigale Perrigan The family will receive friends Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Church, Big Ridge Section, Haysi, Virginia with services to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Church, Big Ridge Section, Haysi, Virginia.

Carvel Edwards, David O’Quinn, Buster Mullins, and Steve Lyall will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mullins Funeral Home and Staff are serving the Boyd Family.
