Doris (nee Avery)’s Obituary Doris (nee Avery) Muscato, age 89, passed away at Little Falls Hospital on February 2, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Muscato, a former police officer for 25 years in Gloversville. Doris was born on November 25, 1929, to the late Charles and Grace Avery.

She attended Gloversville schools and remained a lifelong resident of Gloversville. She worked as a waitress for years in local restaurants. She also worked at the Family Counseling Center as a receptionist before she retired.

Doris loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to family gatherings. Doris also enjoyed painting, sewing, baking and reading. She is survived by five children, Josephine Payne residing in Cincinnati, Ohio, Valerie Muscato residing in St. Johnsville, NY, Charles Muscato (and wife Kathy) residing in Gloversville, NY, Thomas Muscato (and his wife Vincie) residing in Naples, Florida, and Sandra Yost (and her husband Mark) residing in Gloversville, NY.

She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was a beloved wife and wonderful mother and grandmother.
