Mrs. Dorothy Bowers Clift, age 85, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Clift was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late James “Bud” and Annie Wolaver Bowers. She was previously employed by Genesco and Teledyne as a supervisor and manager of document control.

She was affiliated with the Methodist and Cumberland Presbyterian churches. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lee Clift in January of 2017, a sister, Ruth Stinnett. She is survived by one sister, Charlene Bowers (Charles) Clanton of Shelbyville, two nieces, Sherry (Bill) Davis of Shelbyville, and Harlene Stinson of Indiana, two nephews, Stanley (Theresa) Clanton of Shelbyville, and Jimmy (Eve) Stinson of Ft.

Wayne, Indiana, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Short Cemetery with burial to follow. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
