Dorothy I. French, 92, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday May 10, 2018 in her residence. She had worked for many years for Walker Electric. Dorothy was born September 14, 1925 in Terre Haute to Clarence Lowe and Blanche (Boyll) Lowe.

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Dowell (Richard) of Terre Haute; sons, Terry French of Terre haute, Jerry French (Kathy) of Ft. Wayne, Ron French (Cheryl) of Brazil, and Brian French (Angela) of Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband David E. French, who died December 23, 2011, a sister, Norma June Lowe and brothers, Arthur Lowe and Clarence Lowe, Jr. Dorothy was a member of Union Baptist Church and she loved to travel, read, and play bingo.

She also quilted all of her grandchildren baby blankets. Visitation will be Monday May 14, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rod Maris officiating. Burial will be at a later time in New Harmony Cemetery.
