Dorothy Kimball Jones September 23, 1936 ~ December 22, 2018 Dorothy Kimball Jones, 82, got her Christmas wish to be with her husband. She joined him on Saturday, December 22, 2018 while being surrounded by her family. She was born on September 23, 1936 in Round Valley, Utah, the daughter of Edward Lehi and Mildred Cora Barker Kimball.

She graduated from Ogden High School. She married Robert Homer Jones on May 27, 1954 in Ogden, Utah. Robert passed away on October 25, 2014.

Dorothy’s highest priority was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family! Dorothy was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings which included roadshow director, Sunday School teacher, and Young Womens teacher, leader, and camp leader.

She enjoyed being a polling judge for elections and PTA President. Dorothy worked at IRS. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, family history research, and camping.

She loved spending time with her family, gardening, and playing Rummy. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Dale R. (Jody) Jones, of Roy; and Robert C. (Deanna) Jones of Washington Terrace; daughters, Kathy (Elden) Welchman of Roy; Cheryl (Don) Byrne of South Weber; Linda (Dale) Winterton of Mountain Green; and Marilyn (Mark) Barnes of Clinton; 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; and brother, Clifford (Judy) Kimball of Washington Terrace. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother, brother, and three grandchildren, Sara, Katie, and Kody.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
