Obituary of Dorothy Lee Lemons Wicker Dorothy Lee Lemons Wicker, 99, of Siler City died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Siler City Center. Mrs. Wicker was born in Chatham County on February 10, 1919 the daughter of Elmer and Mae (Perry) Lemons. Dorothy had worked for Hadley Peoples’ Manufacturing for 45 years as a spinner.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Cevil R. Wicker; son, Jimmy R. Wicker; parents; brother, Paul Lemons; sister, Bessie Harris. She is survived by daughter: Janice W. Oldham and husband, Russell of Siler City; grandchildren, Laurie Smith and husband, John of Kernersville, Nicole Greene and husband, Tony of Ramseur; great-grandchildren, Ashton Dixon, Joshua Greene and Russ Smith; great-great-grandchild, Tori Dixon; daughter-in-law, Marie Wicker The family will receive friends Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 3631 Mt. Vernon-Hickory Mountain Road, Siler City.

A graveside service will follow Sunday at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Dickerson officiating. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
