Obituary of Louie McElreath Louie Theodore McElreath, age 84, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Randolph Health. Mr. McElreath was born in Sophia, NC on October 14, 1933 to Crawford William and Ella Wright McElreath. He was a member of First E&R United Church of Christ.

Louie was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary and was retired from Eveready Battery. In addition to his parents, Louie was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Faye Carol Hunt McElreath; daughter, Dana Yates and husband Barry of High Point; sons, Dale McElreath and wife Janet of New London and Dean McElreath of Asheboro; and granddaughters, Morgan Yates of Los Angeles, CA, Madison Yates and Meredith Yates both of High Point.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A graveside service will follow on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Business North in Asheboro. Memorials may be made to First E & R United Church of Christ, 221 Cliff Road, Asheboro, NC 27203.
