Obituary of Suzanne Price Hicks Suzanne Price Hicks, 77, of Bear Creek died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Chatham Hospital. Mrs. Hicks was born in Price, Virginia on December 20, 1940 the daughter of Burt and Edna (Johnson) Price. Suzanne was a 1959 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School and of the Presbyterian faith.

She retired from Chatham Hospital as a nursing assistant and had also worked at Siler City Center and Liberty Home Care and Hospice. Suzanne enjoyed looking after her family and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara P. Hart; brother, Thomas K. “Tadpole” Price.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years: Mike A. Hicks; daughter: Pam H. Emerson and husband, Jack of Fancy Gap, VA; son: Michael A. Hicks, Jr.; granddaughter, Amanda Emerson; three sisters: Jackie P. Pickard (Ronnie), Nancy P. Dunn and Lucinda P. Pinnock all of Siler City; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chatham County Special Olympics. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
