Obituary of Carol Sue Headen Buckner Carol Headen Buckner, 68, Siler City died Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Mrs. Buckner was born in Chatham County on October 13, 1949 the daughter of Stephen Otis and Gertie Louise (Beal) Headen. Carol was a member of Bonlee Baptist Church, a nursing assistant and had also worked as a bus driver with the Chatham County Schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol is survived by daughters: Angela May of Siler City, Karen Denise Buckner of Sophia; son: David Buckner of Siler City; sister: Jane Leonard and husband, Ted of Asheboro; brother: Lynn Phillips of Siler City; grandchildren, Megan and Katie May, Zackery Lincoln and Janie Coltrane, The family will receive friends Monday, April 16, 2018 from 12:30-1:30PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Monday at 2:00 PM at Hope Cemetery, Bonlee Memorials may be made to Hope Cemetery, P. O. Box 75, Bonlee, NC 27312.
