Obituary of Dolores DiMeo Millikan Dolores Marie DiMeo Millikan, 75, of Siler City died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur. Mrs. Millikan was born in Chatham County on November 19, 1942, the daughter of Dante Joseph and Margie (Smith) DiMeo. Dolores retired from Chatham Hospital as a purchasing clerk.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro and had attended St. Julia’s Catholic Parrish in Siler City and Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Bear Creek. She loved to plant flowers and decorate her yard, going to the beach, playing games on the computer. Dolores was a member of the Jordan Matthews High School Booster Club, the J-M PTA and the Optimist Club.

Dolores was a diehard Tar Heel Fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd E. Millikan; brother, Richard J. DiMeo. She is survived by a daughter: Nena Burchfield of Siler City; one son: Nicholas Millikan of Blanche; step-son, Lloyd E. Millikan, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Snow Camp; brother: Tony DiMeo and wife, Doris of Siler City; nieces, Jennifer D. Mendenhall and Kim D. Eubanks; great nieces, Ashton Sehen, Meagan and Madison Blankenship; great nephews, Andrew and Aaron Mendenhall.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Smith & Buckner Funeral Home.
