Obituary of Bobby Sheets Bobby “Bob” Gene Sheets, Sr., 81, of High Point went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 14, 2018, after a valiant battle with a myriad of health conditions. Bob was born July 8, 1936 in Johnson City, TN. He was the son of Foy and Margie Sheets.

He is survived by his wife and companion of 46 years, Doris Inman Sheets; son, Bobby Sheets Jr, and wife Sherry of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Casey Holtsclaw and husband Justin of Johnson City, TN, Amy Stockfelt and husband Joshua of Erwin, Aaron Sheets and wife Shannon of Johnson City, TN, Caleb Sheets of Johnson City, TN. ; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Carroll and husband Johnny of High Point; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by daughter, Diane Sheets Holtsclaw and niece, Lynn Carroll.

Bob made a profession of faith and was baptized at Unaka Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN as a teenager, however, he recommitted his life to Christ in 2016 and over the past few months expressed an ardent desire to please his Lord, honor his faithful wife Doris, and finish his good fight of faith with a passion to live for his gracious Savior, Jesus Christ. Bob made his living in the furniture business and has held positions of lead person and supervisor in the industry. He retired from Davis Furniture after 29 years of service and was known to be an outstanding sander for the company.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ann Currin, Cindy Leonard, and the nurses in the ICU at High Point Regional Hospital for their gracious, kind and capable care of Bobby in the last days of his earthly sojourn. Dr. Currin and her team went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of Bob and his family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 12:30 – 1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Ty Thompson and Rev Curtis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11:00 am.
