Douglas J Leavitt May 1, 1954 – February 26, 2019 “He left with a smile on his face” Douglas J Leavitt was born May 1, 1954 to Leland Frank and Colleen Coombs Leavitt, the oldest of their three sons, and crossed over the rainbow bridge February 26, 2019 at the age of 64. Doug was born in the old Dee Memorial Hospital in Ogden and was a life-long resident of Ogden. Married Kathy Anderson on April 9, 1977 (later divorced) and they had three children, Douglas Joshua, Christy Lee and Ryan Michael.

The last years of Doug’s life he had the love of his life and partner by his side, Dianne Archuleta. Doug was a life-long enthusiast of the outdoors. He loved to climb and repel the mountains and go camping.

In-fact in the ‘80’s Doug was instrumental in rescuing several people that were stranded up on the mountain. As a result of his passion for the outdoors, he founded Titanium Goat in 2004 with his eldest son, Josh. Doug is survived by his love and partner, Dianne Archuleta; his children, Joshua (Tiffany), Christy & Ryan (Treonna Andersen); grandchildren Tegan and Tate; his father Lee and brothers Frank (Cindy) and Dennis (Roberto Padilla); Dianne’s children, Cassidy, Brandie, Tyler and Crystal and grandchildren, Denver, Aden, Yuki, Ichigo, Temiko, Dakota, Akio, Mateo, Daryn and Andrew; his ex-wife Kathy Hart and his nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother Colleen and both sets of grandparents. Per Doug’s wishes there will be a viewing on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. , Ogden UT 84404 and then he will be cremated.

There will be a celebration of life for him held on a later date.
