Obituary for Mr. Dwayne D. Bratcher Dwayne D. Bratcher was born July 29, 1958 in Bradenton, Florida to Mr. Lawrence Jenkins and Mrs. Iona Bratcher Johnson. Dwayne grew up in Bradenton, Florida and graduated from Southeast High School in 1976. He continued his education at Southwestern Christian College.

He obeyed the gospel under the leadership of Brother Elmo Roundtree at 201 10th Avenue East Church of Christ. He later joined Southside Church of Christ where he served until the Lord called him home on July 14, 2018. On April 18, 1987, Dwayne married Sebernia Smith.

To this union two daughters were born, Katrina and Ta’Kara. Dwayne was employed by Publix Supermarket for 23 years as a Customer Service Manager. He enjoyed all of the young employees he was able to teach and influence.

He was very big on education and tried to make sure they reached their potential in life. Dwayne loved his family and his neighbors. Dwayne was appreciative of the care he received from Cancer Treatment Center of America.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Sebernia Bratcher, Orlando, Florida; two daughters, Katrina J. Nelson, Orlando, Florida and Ta’Kara L. Bratcher, Altamonte Springs, Florida; three grandchildren, Eddie L. Nelson III, Orlando, Florida, Jhari K. Eady, Altamonte Springs, Florida and Azhani D. Francis, Altamonte Springs, Florida; mother, Iona B. Johnson, Apopka, Florida; three sisters, Valerie Brooks (Willie), Apopka, Florida, Rhonda Campbell (Ulysses), Apopka, Florida and Kim Bratcher, Winter Garden, Florida; two brothers, Ronald Bratcher (Lillie) Orlando, Florida and Anthony George III (Wanda), Humble, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Rev. Dr. Patricia Hauser, Brandon, Florida and Salena Smith, Orlando, Florida; three brothersin-law, Michael Smith (Denise), James Roden, all of Rockledge, Florida and Tommie Sherrod (Denise), Brandon, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sorrowing friends. Special thanks to his caregiver, Ulrica Louis.
