Obituary for Ed Seuferer Ed Seuferer, of rural Lacona, passed away June 4, 2018 at the age of 58. Services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Interment will take place at Newbern Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date. Edward Leo Seuferer was born December 6, 1959 to Elma Marie and Leo Edward Seuferer in Des Moines, Iowa.

He was raised alongside his brothers, Jeff and David, in Lacona, Iowa. Ed graduated with the SE Warren High School class of 1978. After graduating from Southeast Warren, Ed attended Wichita Automotive Institute in Wichita, Kansas.

Upon completion, he worked at the Lacona Co-op. He then worked at Tension Envelope for 31 years while living in Altoona 18 years, before moving back to Lacona. Ed really enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Camping, hunting, building big bonfires, and golfing were some of his favorite pastimes. He also LOVED to drive his Hamm’s Blue 1972 Monte Carlo. On 11-11-11, Ed was united in marriage to Kristi Shields.

The couple made their home together near Lacona. Ed loved spending time with Kristi and her son, Travis. He was very family oriented, giving, and loved to help people.

He was a wonderful uncle to his seven nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by so many. He is survived by his parents, Leo and Marie Seuferer; wife, Kristi Seuferer; son, Travis Bell; brothers, Jeff (Pam) Seuferer and David (Lisa) Seuferer; nieces and nephews: Tyler Seuferer, Haley (Cody Mikesell) Seuferer, Alarick Seuferer, Amelia Seuferer, Carlie Seuferer, and Ethan Seuferer; along with many relatives and friends.
