Obituary for Mr. Edgar LaFrance Edgar LaFrance of Neptune passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at home. He was born in New Orleans, has lived in NJ since 1936. Edgar graduated Hawthorne High School and married the love of his life Eleanore (Oehme) LaFrance.

He later enlisted in the US Navy. He served from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War on the destroyer Samuel B. Roberts DD-823. Edgar worked in the advertising industry for over 40 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with family and friends. If he wasn’t hunting and fishing, he was vacationing with his wife. He is predeceased by his parents Henry and Mildred LaFrance and in-laws Meta and Kurt Oehme.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Eleanore, his sons Gregory and his wife Cathleen, Drew and his wife Colleen of Neptune, 4 grandchildren and 4 great granddaughters. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Homeside Hospice 67 Walnut Ave. Suite 205 Clark, NJ 07066.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 11 AM until the funeral service at 12:45 PM at the Ely Funeral Home, Neptune. The interment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. To send a memorial gift to the family of Mr. Edgar LaFrance please visit our Sympathy Store.
