Edgar Petty Dye, 88, formerly of Mineral Wells, WV died January 25, 2019 at Wyngate Senior Living. He was born on December 10, 1930 in Marietta, OH and was the son of the late John J. and Roxie Fox Dye. Edgar retired from GE Plastics, formerly Borg Warner and was graduate of PHS Class of 1948.

Edgar is survived by five children, Phyllis (Robert) Risher, Ronald (Pamela) Dye, John (Elizabeth) Dye, Debra (Raymond) Wright, Mark (Lisa) Dye; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; son-in-law Michael Webb; one sister, Esther Mae Nester; and one brother Basil (Charlotte) Dye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Gant Dye; two daughters, Sharon Webb and Cindy Dye. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 29, 2019, 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg, with Pastor Matthew Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2019, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, Parkersburg, WV.
