Edna Eileen Tuttle September 08, 1923 – February 07, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Edna Eileen Tuttle, 95, of rural Larwill, died at 2:46 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019 at her home. She was born September 8, 1923 in Imboden, Arkansas a daughter of the late Fermer and Molly (Keele) Waterson. Her formative years were spent in Washington Township, Whitley County.

The family then moved to Richland Twp. where she graduated from Larwill High School. On June 30, 1944, she was united in marriage to John James Tuttle.

They have always made their home in the Larwill area. Mr. Tuttle died in June 1996. After raising the couples’ three children, she worked at the South Whitley Elementary School cafeteria for ten years.

She was a member of the Collamer Church of God. Artistically gifted, she enjoyed painting both watercolor and oil. She liked to sing.

An eternal optimist, she always found the good in people and in her life. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Susan C. (Ronald) Trester, Plano, TX and Terry (Elaine) Tuttle, South Whitley; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Additionally, she was preceded in death by a son, John R. “Randy” Tuttle; brothers, Wilbur, Richard, Lee, Lloyd “Red”, Earl “Bea”, and Cletus Waterson. The funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.

Visitation is 12 noon until the service Monday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Collamer Christian Church.
