Edward “Ed” A. Pieper, age 61, residing in Granger, Indiana passed away on Thursday morning, June 7, 2018. He was born on May 17, 1957 in South Bend to Melvin A. Pieper and Etta L. (Soto) Pieper. On September 15, 1979 in South Bend, Indiana, Ed was married to Suzanne (Barnes) Pieper, who survives.

Ed was a skilled auto body technician. Along with his loving wife Suzanne, Ed is survived by his four children, Justin Pieper of Granger, Elicia (Bob) Pieper-Rhodes of Granger, Eric Pieper of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Erin (Lucas) Packer of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Kayla Packer, Isaiah Packer, Elana Packer, Alexia Rhodes, and Robby Rhodes with one baby Ethan Edward Packer on the way. Ed is also survived by his siblings, Linda (David) Pieper Baughman of Texas, Andrew (Cheryl) Pieper of Granger, Loraine (Gary) Alwine of South Bend, Scott Pieper of South Bend, twin sisters Cathy Greer of Elkhart and Susan (Lane) Malone of Whitney, Texas; and Jonathan (Jennifer) Pieper of Lakeville.

His mother and father preceded him in death. Ed loved his family first before ANYTHING. He possessed an amazing smile, great personality and a heart of gold.

Everyone who knew him loved him. He was Mr. Fix It. Ed loved his cars, loved fishing and was always there if we needed anything.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 11, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends can meet with family from Noon until time of services.
