Shirley Lou Norris Shirley Lou Norris, 88, passed away peacefully at the Center for Hospice Care, South Bend at 4:22 pm on Friday, June 8, 2018. She was born to Leo and Lola Gardner on April 20, 1930. She attended North Liberty High School where she met her husband Jack R. Norris, they were married on December 31, 1947.

Jack and Shirley were married 65 years when Jack passed away in 2013. In retirement, they traveled to Gulf Shores, Alabama in the wintertime. Amazingly, they lived in the same home for 65 years.

Together, they owned Norris Well Drilling and Shirley was the business manager. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, cake decorating and reading books. She was a member of Riverside Church.

Shirley loved being a grandmother to eight and great grandmother to 13. Shirley is survived by three daughters, Sheryl (Adam) Mann of Bremen, IN, Cynthia (Ted) Woolet and Jacqueline Norris both of South Bend; eight grandchildren, Perry (Farrin) Mann, Casey (Tiffany) Mann, Katie (Eric) Yoder, Benjamin (Ila) Woolet, Robert (Rachal) Woolet, Rudy (Anna) Woolet, Carey (Sarah) Woolet and Jamie (Josh) Wise; thirteen great grandchildren, Chloe, Layla, Arwen & Willow Woolet, Colton, Wesson and Cassidy Woolet, Brenden, Emma and Lily Woolet, Beckett Mann, Zoe and Mason Yoder. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Morris cemetery, North Liberty with Pastor Keith Walatka officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am Tuesday, June 12th at Palmer Funeral Home – North Liberty Chapel, 202 N. Main St., North Liberty, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 or to Riverside Community Church, 4210 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, Indiana 46628. Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
