Edward’s Obituary Edward R Hughes, age 66, of Ashland, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, in Duluth, MN. He was born February 8, 1952, in Sacramento, CA, the son of Fredrick and Bonnie (Morrison) Hughes. Edward was the grandson of Edward P and Hattie Morrison, who were Ashland natives going back in the late 1800’s.

In 1970, he graduated from Highlands High School, in Sacramento, CA. From 1970 to 1972, he was in the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. For several years, he was a civil service employee at the McClellan Air Force Base.

Edward enjoyed riding his Harley and being in the outdoors. He is survived by two brothers, Curtis Hughes, and Donald (Denise) Hughes; a sister, Brenda (Pete) Andrade; aunts and uncles, John and Harriet Yachinich, Barbara and Art Bjork, Janice Morrison, and Ann Krouse; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his parents.
